How to order grave cleaning from Poland or Germany — a step-by-step guide

Every year thousands of Ukrainians abroad are looking for an answer to one question: who will care for my parents' grave while I am not at home? This article is a practical guide on how to arrange care remotely, even if you have not been to Ukraine for several years.

Step 1. Gather information about the grave

Before contacting a service, gather everything you know:

The city and the name of the cemetery
The section, row and plot number (if available)
The year of burial and the surname
Any landmarks — a nearby tree, neighbouring monuments, the direction from the gate

If you know none of this, don't worry. Care services offer a grave search service. We go to the cemetery, find it using the data from documents or your description, photograph it and send you the coordinates. That way it goes into your personal database forever.

Step 2. Get in touch in a convenient way

The fastest channel is Telegram. You open the chat and write: "I want to order grave cleaning, Kyiv, Berkovetske cemetery." Within 30 minutes during working hours you get a reply.

If you use WhatsApp or Viber, those work too. If a form on the site is more convenient, fill in the form on the "Contacts" page and provide all the details you know.

The time zone is not a problem. If you are in Canada or the USA, write at any time that suits you and we will reply taking the difference into account.

Step 3. Agree on the scope of work

The manager will clarify the details: what needs to be done, the condition in which you last saw the grave, whether you have any special wishes — for example, placing an icon lamp or planting particular flowers.

If you are not sure exactly what is needed, ask for an initial inspection. The worker visits, photographs the current condition and sends it to you. After that you decide for yourself how much to order. No pressure.

Step 4. Pay in a convenient way

For clients abroad, the following are available:

Wise — the cheapest option, with a minimal fee. Suitable for Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom.
PayPal — fast and a familiar tool.
Stripe — payment by Visa/Mastercard in your currency.

We accept EUR, USD, PLN, CZK, GBP, CAD. A prepayment of 50% of the amount is required. The balance is paid after you confirm the photo report.

A receipt is sent to your email automatically after payment.

Step 5. Receive the photo report

Once the work is done, you receive a photo report on Telegram or by email. "Before" and "after" photos with geolocation and a date — each one taken with GPS on, so they cannot be faked.

The "Standard" and "Premium" plans also include a 60-second video showing the grave from every side. The GPS tag is embedded in the video and the date is in the watermark.

After the first order

If you are happy with everything, consider a subscription. The monthly amount is fixed, you know the cleaning dates in advance, and there is no need to write and arrange things every time. Before each memorial day a photo report simply arrives — the grave is clean.

The "Basic" subscription starts from 1,450 UAH/month. That works out to less than 30 EUR a month. Most clients from the diaspora choose the "Standard" plan (1,950 UAH/month) — it includes 6 cleanings a year and a video report.

Frequently asked questions

What if I don't know the exact location of the grave?
Order the grave search service — from 500 UAH. We go out, find it and photograph the GPS coordinates. From then on the data is saved, and every following visit requires no search.

Can I order for a specific date?
Yes. When ordering, specify when you need it — for example, "before Radonitsa on April 14." We schedule the visit 2–5 days before the specified date.

What if the cemetery is unfamiliar to the workers?
We work at all the major cemeteries in Kyiv and Lviv. We add new cities gradually — check availability when you first get in touch.
